Juliette Plaza
Montréal – 2024
When chef Charles-Antoine Crête decided to open his fourth restaurant with his loyal partner Cheryl Johnson, he came up with the idea of paying tribute to his late mother. Thus, Juliette Plaza was born. Located on Plaza Saint-Hubert right next to another one of their famous restaurants, Montréal Plaza, Juliette Plaza aims to be a place that is lively from morning to night.
The menu offers creative cuisine that explores everything from Asian-inspired dishes to Quebec childhood classics like… the layered sandwich loaf! Prices are more affordable than those of its neighbour, with most dishes ranging from $5 to $25, a bargain in Montréal.

Cheryl Johnson and Charles-Antoine Crête wanted to create a space that would remind them of their beginnings in the kitchen at Toqué. The blue epoxy floor and red quartz on the central counter were essential to their vision. Once the space was created, Charles-Antoine Crête, with the help of designer Andréanne Guillemette, crafted a universe that was both soft and full of creative madness, not hesitating to mix disparate wallpapers and miscellaneous objects (Smurfs next to the wall cellar, pages of Asterix comics on the walls)!
The Doyon Després team was selected to manage the project from start to finish. From the design of the plan to its realization, the project was executed very quickly. Our team began drawing up plans just a few days before the demolition of the neighbouring creamery. Juliette Plaza sought our consulting, planning, design, estimation, site coordination, and equipment delivery services.

Our experts designed plans for the kitchen, including the sink and bar. They also designed several custom-made equipment, including the large central island covered with red quartz and the cabinet hanging above it, which even includes a food warmer section. Our team also created the tables for the sink section, the wall covering, and the worktable on the hot line, which is designed to accommodate a fryer and encompass a built-in Rational oven.
