Moishes is an iconic fixture of the Montréal food scene founded in 1938 by a Romanian immigrant named Moishe Lighter. At first a small sandwich shop and smokehouse, Moishes expanded under Lighter’s son to become a truly upscale steakhouse, renowned for its high-quality steaks, dry-aged prime rib and fresh seafood.

To celebrate Moishes’ 85th anniversary, its current owner Grandio Group is moving its operations in a new location at the heart of the International District, just a stone’s throw from the Quartier des Spectacles. With its design inspired by the restaurant’s rich history, with just a dash of modernity, this new space will allow Moishes to continue to evolve.

Moishes initially called on Doyon Després to design the layout plans for the kitchen and bar. Our experts also designed custom furniture for the diving area, the two serving hatches, the cabinets in the service area and the pantry. We then delivered and installed the equipment for the kitchen, dishwashing area and bar, including built-in wine dispensers.
